Medellin, Colombia

The elevated Medellin Metro is a blur as it rushes into the Parque Berrio Station in front of Plaza Botero. The domed illuminated Palace of Culture and the art deco Museum of Antioquia frame the plaza. The plaza is named after Medellin's native son, and Colombia's most famous artist Fernando Botero, who donated 23 sculptures to sit in the plaza. A dramatic twlight sky outlines the Andes Mountains that surround the city in the Aburra Valley.
